I played this game with my friends alot. The aim in the game is not to be first, but rather to get the most amount of points. How do you get those points? By wrecking the opponents' cars. And that is what makes Destruction Derby so cool.
Destruction Derby includes several game modes:
Wreckin' Racing , Stock Car Racing , Time Trail and Destruction Derby. The one that i played the most was offcourse Destruction Derby mode. It takes place not on a circuit but a large open area where you need to wreck the opponents cars as much as possible.

Think about it smashing into other cars at high speed, and gaining from each crash.Psygnosis did a great job on this one in my book.

I remember playing this at my friend's house. We liked it, but we usually preferred playing Twisted Metal, which was also about destroying cars.
Another game similar to this one was Carmaggedon. I really liked that game too.
